Südbad

Beschreibung

From inside the pool, visitors have a magnificent view of the surrounding greenery with a mature tree population. Against this backdrop, swimming in the 25-meter pool is an absolute pleasure. Retractable doors in the glass façade allow the swimming pool to open out onto a newly designed outside terrace and expanse of lawn area for sunbathing when the weather is fine, turning the Südbad into an open-air pool with a roof.

A new lighting concept creates a pleasant, richly varied atmosphere inside and out. The “green curtain” on the wall of the large pool brings the natural surroundings of the outdoors inside. New pool features include the children’s area with paddling pool, toys and a small water slide for youngsters. The swimming and non-swimming pools are lined with stainless steel.

Those who enjoy more than just swimming can take part in one of the many fitness classes.

One of the new Südbad’s main attractions is the outdoor wellness pool. Located directly in front of the room-high glass facade, it offers fun in the pool in all types of weather with a flowing water torrent, Jacuzzi seats, hot tub and massage and neck jets. As an extra indulgence, revive your spirits in the sauna, for example, by visiting the colored-light sanarium.

Video art „seestück 2_jump“ Video art in the learners’ pool
We show Nele Ströbel’s “seestück 2_jump” video art on the Südbad’s video wall every evening from 7:00 p.m. A “Seestück” is a piece of artwork with a theme relating to the sea, oceans, coastlines, ships or ports. Water is the backdrop against which the work is set. The Munich sculptor’s video work focuses on the theme of contemplation. The water is made visible from the inside out.
